This is the first and possibly last movie that will be discussed on this site, but a necessary post nonetheless. Those that know me personally know that I have the attention span of a child when it comes to non-musical entertainment, and sitting through an entire movie can be torturous for me. My roommates in college used to throw on movies and basically bet on how long I would last before retreating to my room to make beats. I’ve been in a movie theatre two times in the last few years, the second being today for a 3:25 showing of Avatar in 3-D. Visually it was by far the most impressive movie I have ever seen, and overall it was unlike any other experience I’ve had in the theatre. For over two and a half hours I got lost in this alternate world, and was left basically speechless when it ended. The bar has been set at a new height for special effects, and I’m eager to see who tops this, and when. Jake Sully rules.
