We all know Ghostface’s “Motherless Child” track off of the Ironman album. Here is the original from O.V. Wright, a legendary voice in soul music. The actual song dates back to the days of slavery, when it was common for black children to be sold away from their parents. The song expresses the pain and hopelessness felt by these kids. Thanks to Ghostface, it is a familiar tune to us 130 years later.
