“It’s not a game I’m from Philly…” There was a pretty unanimous consensus among the industry that Peedi bodied this. I remember buying this vinyl at Music Factory and playing it in the clubs in Canada, I admit a little before they were ready for it. There was something about the way the kick and snare stutter stepped back and forth, combined with Crack on the opening verse that made this record a standout. Peedi’s flow has such character when paired with the right beats (check “Fallback”).

Today, I went to the beach front with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.
